KIWIN'S, Let's Grow Together
i. As always, get approval from your advisors about necessary purchases and fundraiser ideas!
ii. Purchase soil, pots, and low maintenance plant seeds. Make sure to obtain paint and paintbrushes too.
If pots are too expensive, encourage members to bring their own.
iii. Pick a date and location, then advertise!
iv. During the event, set up tables if needed and sell pots and seeds. At the same time, distribute paint.
If the pots were too expensive to buy in the first place, make participants pay an entry fee.
v. Give the members time to paint their pots however they like!
vi. After everyone finishes painting, host some icebreakers or a food break while the paint dries.
The break could also be used as an opportunity to sell merch or food items that the club brought.
vii. When everything dries, distribute soil to everybody. The board members will teach everyone on how to plant their seeds!
viii. Collect everyone’s plants and place them into the main KIWIN’S classroom of each club’s high school.
Advisors, teachers, or students can be tasked to water them frequently.
Can be placed in the school gardens if there are no teachers, advisors, or students willing to water the plants regularly!
ix. When a person leaves KIWIN’S, whether it be through graduation or other reasons, they’re allowed to take their grown plant with them.
Symbolizing one’s growth within KIWIN’S, whether it be a term(±), the plants from this fundraiser will hold a lot of special memories and further reason to attend general meetings for members who want to check up on their plant. :)
