Reuse, Reduce, & Resell

i.   Get approval from advisors and school representatives.

ii.   Publicize the event to your school through flyers, posters, online websites, friends, and school news.

iii.   Set up a designated bin(s) monitored by 1-3 KIWIN’S members in your school campus. If you’re monitoring the bins, make sure to write down the amount of service hours the donator has in proportion to the amount they gave.

  • The amount given per item is optional! Be generous!!

  • Choose how long the bins are available for donating depending on the size of your school, amount of volunteers willing to monitor, etc.!

  • Can be open before school, nutrition, lunchtime, or after school!

iv.   KIWIN’S members gather together to clean and sanitize all items.

  • Naturally, each member will be distributed service hours depending on each item they clean up.

  • Designate a few KIWIN’S members to bring home any clothing items to run through their washers properly. These members will be getting more service hours.

v.   Publicizing wave 2!!!

  • If there are items that could be really popular (from known brands, cute jewelry, merch from well known companies, etc.), take photos and promote them.

vi.   Pick a designated area and certain time.

  • Split up the items into groups and hang signs to avoid confusion. (Books, clothes, stationary, miscellaneous…)

vii.   KIWIN’S set up a thrift shop! Sell all given items, and any leftovers to be donated to local thrift stores.

  • A fundraiser that incorporates a popular trend nowadays, thrifting, to help the environment by reducing waste, raising funds for the community, and promoting KIWIN’S among the student body.

  • Recommended to be held by larger clubs/divisions as it is a fundraiser that requires more manpower.
